Suspicious package disrupts MARTA service at Civic Center station

ATLANTA — MARTA service was suspended in both directions at the Civic Center Station due to a suspicious package investigation Tuesday morning.

The federal building at 401 W. Peachtree was also evacuated as the bomb squad investigated.

The all clear was given around 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, shortly after a Channel 2 Action News crew heard a loud explosion.
