• Spelman parents locked out of graduation

    Updated:

COLLEGE PARK, Ga. - Some parents say they missed seeing their kids graduate on Sunday because officials with Spelman College would not let them into the ceremony.

A parent sent Channel 2 Action News video of people being turned away well before the graduation began. The ceremony began at 3 p.m., but doors were closed at 2:30 p.m.

A spokesperson for Spelman said the college has guidelines for handling large events and apologized for any inconvenience.
