Young mother shot, killed during argument with brother

SOUTH FULTON COUNTY, Ga. — A South Fulton County mother is devastated.

Police arrested her son following the shooting death of his own sister.

For Lisa Crawford, the heartache is just too much.

Her daughter, Jazzy Kuykendall, was shot and killed.

Police tell Channel 2's Audrey Washington that Jazzy Kuykendall was inside a College Park home on Feb. 8 when she got into some sort of fight with her brother.

Police say at one point a shot was fired and Jazzy Kuykendall was hit in the back of the head.

"My baby fought, she fought,” Crawford said.

Jazzy Kutkendall lost that fight last Thursday.

Her brother, Marquavious Kuykendall, was arrested and now faces a number of charges, including possession of a firearm by a felon. College Park police, however, are not saying whether he fired the shot.

Washington is told police are looking for other possible suspects in this case and are speaking with the other people who were at the home at the time of the shooting.

Meanwhile, Crawford is now taking care of the two young children her 25-year-old daughter left behind.

She says the 4-year-old squeezes a stuffed animal anytime she thinks of her mother.

"I promised my daughter I would do my best to raise them,” Crawford said.

The family has set up a GoFundMe account to help pay for funeral expenses.
