Robbers tie up employees of pharmaceutical company

CONYERS, Ga. — Two robbers tied up employees and stole pharmaceuticals from a company in Conyers.

Police said the two men moved like they knew exactly what they were after when they broke in Monday around 1 a.m.

"They weren't there for money or electronics," said Conyers police officer Kim Lucas.

Surveillance video showed the armed men walk into Omnicare on Sigman Road moments before they held up the employees.

The company supplies pharmaceutical drugs to pharmacies and health care operations.

"They immediately Duct-taped two of the three victims and had the third assist them with the robbery," Lucas said.

Channel 2's Carl Willis spoke with the company's manager. He said employees were still on edge days after the robbery.

He said the robbers must have had knowledge of the operation that takes place in an unmarked building tucked back on a road lined with shipping centers and industrial buildings.

Police hope the surveillance video they released Wednesday will lead them to arrests.

"You can watch the way they move, the way they walk, the way they carry themselves and maybe that will stand out to someone," said Lucas.

The store manager said the company hired a guard that was to start immediately.
