Repair work continues on downtown Atlanta church

Crews are expected to resume their repair work on a historic church in downtown Atlanta Thursday.
On Wednesday they put a protective wrap on the tower of the church on Ralph David Abernathy Boulevard, which is more than 100 years old.
A bus and truck crashed into it last year damaging its structural integrity.
Channel 2 Action News talked to an Atlanta preservationist about why the church is so important.
"The first evening service in 1958 was led by Martin Luther King Senior,” said Paul Hammock.
A representative for the owner of the building told Channel 2 he is trying to save it.
