CLARKE COUNTY, Ga. — A Clarke County woman says a neighbor sneaked into her home and tried to kill her.
Farrahsha Lumpkin told police she was sleeping in her Winterville Road home when she was woken up by Tyrus Curry, who she said was choking her.
According to investigators, Lumpkin was trying not to lose consciousness as she freed herself from Curry. Lumpkin said after she broke free, Curry then grabbed what she described as a machete and threatened to chop her up.
Investigators said Lumpkin ran to a neighbor's home where she called for help.
Police said Curry fled the scene.
