SMYRNA, Ga. — Police are investigating the armed robbery of a Red Roof Inn.
The robbery was reported early Tuesday morning at 2200 Corporate Plaza in Smyrna.
According to police, a man walked into the hotel and displayed a handgun while demanding money from the clerk. After receiving an undisclosed amount of cash, the man fled in a white car with dark tinted windows.
Witnesses described the man as black and 5 feet, 8 inches tall. He was last seen wearing a blue shirt, plaid shorts and blue shoes. He wore latex gloves, and black scarf over his face and was armed with a handgun.
