ATHENS, Ga. — The Athens-Clarke County Police Department is investigating shots fired near the University of Georgia Health Science Campus in Athens.
Police said that there was an armed robbery with shots fired at a residence behind the Health Science Campus.
Investigators believe the suspect was picked up by a vehicle and driven out of the area.
The robber is described as a black man in his mid-20s wearing dark blue shorts and a black shirt.
Police said they believe the man is in the Atlanta Highway and Sycamore Drive area. Anyone with information in this case should call 911.
