Police: Homeowner returns to find meth lab in car port

WOODSTOCK, Ga. — Deputies in Cherokee County have shut down a suspected meth lab after the homeowner noticed unusual items in her house.

The owner of the home on Eagle View Trace in Woodstock had been gone for several weeks, and when she returned, she called the sheriff's office to investigate the items she found in her car port.

Deputies said the items looked like a meth lab. A drug unit was called in and identified the materials and equipment used in to make the drug.

Deputies said other people were staying at the home while the owner was out of town.

Warrants have been issued for the arrest of the two people who were staying at the home. Deputies did not identify the suspects.
