COBB COUNTY, Ga. - An apparent police chase ended a short time ago with a violent crash at South Marietta Parkway and Powers Ferry Road.

Witnesses say Cobb police were pursuing a man in a black BMW traveling at a high rate of speed when the BMW T-boned a maroon GMC Jimmy at the intersection.

Two people were in the Jimmy; the female passenger had to be cut out.  Witnesses say the driver of the BMW appeared to be armed and was wrestled out of the car by police.

Channel 2's Ross Cavitt and photographer Casey Nichols recorded dramatic video of the chase and an interview with a witness.
