Firefighters reported seeing heavy fire in the attic of the building, and saw flames coming through the roof. They reported that most of the damage to the building was above the first floor.
Fire officials are still working to determine the official cause of the fire, but it appears to be natural.
The American Red Cross says that all 49 people who lived in the three-story building were able to escape the building safely. No firefighters were injured while battling this blaze either.
One person did experience a heat-related emergency, but was treated and released on the scene.
