Best BBQ spots in America? Right here in Georgia

ATLANTA — Georgia ranks first in the nation when it comes to best BBQ spots, ahead of the Carolinas and Texas, according to TripAdvisor.

The rankings comprised from the travel site's community of millions of travelers.

Other contenders including Missouri, Tennessee and Florida.

"Nothing says American summer like barbecue, and with styles that vary by region, aficionados get fired up over which states serve up the best," said Brooke Ferencsik, director of communications for TripAdvisor.

Here is TripAdvisor's top 10 list:

2.   North Carolina
3.    Texas
4.    Missouri
5.    Tennessee
6.   South Carolina
7.    Florida
8.    Illinois
9.    California
10.   Kansas
