ATLANTA — NewsChopper 2 flew over a crane collapse in Buckhead on Thursday afternoon.
The accident happened as construction crews were working on a new apartment high-rise in the area of Roxboro Road and Kingsboro Road.
The crane hit a cherry picker on its way down and came to a rest against the building.
Firefighters rescued at least two workers using a firetruck ladder.
The construction company, JE Dunn Construction, said no one was hurt in the incident.
“There wasn't anybody close that I could tell was going get hurt. The workers just immediately started yelling, ‘is everybody OK?’” said witness Ron Taylor.
"We have shut down the site to conduct a full accident investigation," the construction company said in a statement.
Crews are still investigating what caused the collapse.
