MARTA's Arts Center station was reopened after a train operator reported a fire on the tracks Sunday night.
Officials at the scene told Channel 2 Action News the operator reported a fire on the tracks between MARTA’s Midtown and Arts Center stations. Officials say the fire was initially reported about 7:30 p.m. Sunday.
ATLANTA — The Atlanta Fire Department and MARTA police responded but found no fire, officials said. Rail service was temporarily closed at the Arts Center station while crews investigated. MARTA had a bus bridge for between the Civic Center and Lindbergh Center stations until the station reopened at about 8:30 p.m.
