• Hunters kill wild pig that terrorized Lithonia neighborhood

LITHONIA - Hunters have killed a wild pig that's been roaming one Lithonia community.

Channel 2 Action News has learned the hunters brought in their prey, to the relief of neighbors.

“I feel absolutely wonderful about this. I've been terrorized for the last couple of nights. They've been sleeping in my backyard so this is a wonderful feeling," said neighbor Del Powell.

But there are more wild pigs out there near the Stonebridge subdivision.

DeKalb County hired Northwest Exterminating to remove the rest wild pigs from the neighborhood.

The wild pigs have been terrorizing some of the residents for a week.

Jennifer McAllister said one of the wild pigs chased her daughter.

“My daughter said they chased her. She didn't even have on shoes. And she went banging on the door, banging on the door. We was like ‘what's going on?’ And I opened the door, she said ‘hogs chasing me, they're chasing me,’” McAllister said.

Neighbors joke they hope to throw a luau with the caught pig.
