• Hairless kitten goes missing at Hartsfield Jackson International Airport

ATLANTA - Employees at Hartsfield Jackson Atlanta International Airport are on the lookout for a missing family pet.

A Florida family says their cat was lost while being transported on a Delta Airlines flight.

The family bought the hairless peterbald kitten named Rudy from a breeder in Canada. The kitten was being transported to its new family for the first time.

Rudy's cage broke open, and the kitten escaped into the cargo area on June 4 around 7 a.m.

A spokesperson for Delta Airlines said an active search is underway and the airline is looking into what went wrong.

The family is offering a $1,000 reward for Rudy's recovery.
