Strickland Family Medicine Center is GMC’s family medicine resident teaching facility and is hospital-based. To that end, depending upon the treatment or procedure, patients will receive two bills – one for the facility fee which covers outpatient procedures and another for the physician visit.
Considering that, Gwinnett Medical Center communicates the relationship with Strickland Family Medicine Center through:
1) External signage (located on the building’s façade and door signage; photograph attached)
2) Internal signage (located at the front desk which mentions patients will receive bills from the hospital and the physician)
3) Patient authorization forms (completed by every person treated in an outpatient or inpatient facility; Gwinnett Hospital System name on each form completed; see attached)
