Police asked drivers to stay away from the intersections of Holcomb Bridge Road at College Street and Skin Alley at S. Peachtree Street shortly after 5 p.m. Tuesday.
By 5:45 p.m. the intersection was back open.
Firefighters said the structure was not a problem to surrounding businesses.
“Their assessment gave them confidence that everything was intact and would not put neighboring businesses in danger,” the fire department said.
