GWINNETT COUNTY, Ga. — Gwinnett police are asking for the public’s help to identify a man who stole nearly $40,000 worth of jewelry from three stores in Gwinnett.
On Dec. 24, police responded to a robbery at the Helzberg Diamonds at the Mall of Georgia. Police said the suspect walked into the store and asked the manager for a $4,500 pair of earrings, which the manager gave him before he ran out of the store.

On Dec. 27, employees said a man walked into the Diamond Ring Company at the Mall of Georgia wearing a mask and asked how much a pair of diamond earrings cost. As the employee checked the price tag, the suspect snatched earrings out of an employees’ hands. One of the earrings was valued at $14,800 and the other was worth $10,999.

On Dec. 9, police responded to a robbery at the Jewelry Box Outlet at Sugarloaf Mills Mall. Police said a man entered the store and asked to look at a diamond ring. The employee handed the man the ring and he grabbed it and ran from the store. That ring was valued at $8,900.
The suspect is described as a white man between 30 and 40 years old, who weighs between 180 and 200 pounds. He is approximately 5′8 to 6 feet in height with brown hair. He has a tattoo on his left forearm and another tattoo on the right side of his neck. The man also has gauged earrings in both ears.

Surveillance cameras inside the stores captured clear images of the suspect.
