ATLANTA — The attorney representing one of the defendants in the Young Slime Life RICO gang trial in Fulton County is now facing gang-related charges.
The Fulton County District Attorney’s Office confirmed the charges to Channel 2 investigative reporter Mark Winne.
The attorney, Nicole Fegan, has represented Tenquarius Mender, whose case was severed from the main RICO trial in early 2023.
Channel 2 Action News learned Fegan was released from jail on bond Friday evening, attorney Renee Rockwell confirmed.

Friday afternoon, Atlanta police confirmed to Channel 2 Action News that Fegan was arrested based on information that she’d contacted a suspect in a Sept. 27, 2022 shooting of two men at Williams Street and Baker Street in Northwest Atlanta. One of the victims died, according to APD.
APD said Fegan was arrested in Gwinnett County and will be transported to Fulton County on warrants charging her with participating in criminal street gang activity and criminal solicitation to commit the offense of tampering with evidence.
Officers told Channel 2 Action News that Fegan called a suspect that she was not representing as an attorney, leading to the warrants charging her for the gang activity.
Fegan, according to APD, told the suspect there were active warrants for his arrest, and that she had learned it during a preliminary hearing related to the shooting, telling the suspect to “dispose of his phone as police were going to arrest him.”
Seiden has learned that Fegan has been booked into the Fulton County Jail. A copy of her booking photo is not available because of the Fulton County cybersecurity attack.
Defense attorney Renee Rockwell later confirmed to Channel 2 Action News that Fegan was granted a $40,000 bond and could be released from custody at the Fulton County Jail sometime Friday night. Fegan maintains her innocence.
Speaking later on Friday evening with Channel 2 Action News, Rockwell confirmed that Fegan was released on bond and headed home, but said that she would not be representing Fegan, and that Fegan had not yet, to Rockwell’s knowledge, retained counsel.
Instead, Rockwell said she had reached out to the Fulton County District Attorney’s Office on Fegan’s behalf upon hearing of her arrest and “felt urged to action,” then asked them to grant Fegan a fair bond, which was agreed to at $40,000.
Channel 2 Action News has also reached out to the Fulton County Sheriff’s Office for additional information and are waiting to hear back.
