DOUGLAS COUNTY, Ga — Volunteers are carrying on Captain Herb Emory's legacy and making Christmas brighter for local children.
Each year, Captain Herb recruited volunteers and donations for "Toys for Tots."
The effort grew to become one of the biggest collection sites in metro Atlanta.
Captain Herb passed away in April.
This year, the WSB-TV and WSB Radio families are picking up the effort in Douglas County.
You can drop off new and unwrapped toys Saturday, Dec. 13 at Fred's Bar-B-Que in Lithia Springs.
Just stop by between 11 a.m. and 6 p.m.
