Four charged in Sandy Springs fatal shooting

NORTH FULTON COUNTY, Ga. — Police have arrested four men in connection with a deadly shooting that happened at a Sandy Springs apartment complex.

Gene Stephens, 19, of Atlanta, James Taft, 28, of Sandy Springs and Willy Jeanlouis, 28 are charged with felony murder in the killing of 25-year-old Patrick Placide. Police said Placide was shot in the head at the Residences at Morgan Falls Apartments on April 14.

Jeanlouis, who was also shot in the head but escaped, is being charged for his role in setting up a marijuana deal that led to the shooting.

A fourth suspect, Victor Scott, 24, is being sought on a felony murder charge.

Stephens, Taft and Jeanlouis are being held without bond in the Fulton County Jail. They are scheduled to appear in Fulton County Superior Court on April 30.
