DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. — Authorities uncovered a metro Atlanta meth operation they say is tied to an ex-mafia member.

Eduard Bobrik, 45 of Alpharetta, is accused of supplying drugs to retail-level drug dealers in Forsyth, DeKalb, Gwinnett and Rockdale counties.

He was arrested last week and is an “excommunicated Russian Mafia member”, according to the Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office.

Several agencies worked on the investigation with Drug Enforcement Administration agents for months starting in 2020 and tracked down the drug operation to a 16,000 square foot warehouse in DeKalb County.

During their search, deputies and agents found out the warehouse was a meat packing factory and they located a methamphetamines lab and pill press in the office area.

The drugs were stored inside refrigerator along with meat and other foods ready to be distributed to legitimate businesses, according to the sheriff’s office.
