ATLANTA — Former Atlanta Falcons star wide receiver Andre Rison has been ordered to pay more than $300,000 in child support restitution.
The Department of Health and Human Services Office of the Inspector general announced the sentence on Tuesday.
Rison pleaded guilty in April to a misdemeanor child support violation. On Monday in federal court in Phoenix, he was sentenced to pay $322,992 in restitution and to serve five years' probation.
According to the sentence, Rison must pay a minimum of $1,000 per month toward the restitution, in addition to the $2,358 a month he already owes.
Rison spent five seasons with the Atlanta Falcons from 1990-1994.
