Dr. Sandra Ford, the District Health Director for DeKalb County says the spike in cases after the 4th was like clockwork. She says between July 4th and July 11th there was a dramatic increase in coronavirus cases.
Ford says just recently the number of cases in DeKalb dropped dramatically. She doesn’t want to see another spike.
Ford and other doctors are urging people to continue to follow safety precautions this upcoming holiday weekend. She says there’s no reason to relax precautions at this point because we are still very much in the middle of a pandemic. She is urging people to social distance and wear masks.
