Police said they received a call around 4 a.m. of a man, identified as 34-year-old Christopher Williams, holding someone at gunpoint.
The victim got out safely when police arrived, but Williams refused to come out. Police said SWAT responded and negotiators convinced Williams to surrender peacefully.
Williams and the victim know each other, according to investigators. They have charged him with aggravated assault/strangulation, false imprisonment and obstruction.
