DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. — Reports of a dog attack in DeKalb County Friday led to animal control services taking one of two German Shepherds for a 10-day quarantine to the county shelter.
A service call came in to the DeKalb County 911 dispatch Friday afternoon.
Responding to the call for help, officers learned that two German Shepherds belonging to the same owner had gotten into a fight.
When the owner tried to break it up, they were injured, sustaining scratches and bites, a neighbor told Channel 2 Action News.

As a result of the incident, the dogs’ owner was taken to a hospital for treatment of her injuries.
Additionally, one of the German Shepherds was taken to animal control for a 10-day quarantine.
The neighbor, who did not want to be identified, told Channel 2 Action News that the dogs’ owner still loves both of her dogs and hopes the one taken away will be able to come home.
