An apartment building in DeKalb County has been heavily damaged after a fire broke out Thursday afternoon.
The blaze broke out on North DeKalb Drive off of Buford Highway in Doraville.
NewsChopper 2 was over the scene, where residents watched as their building burned. The fire appeared to be contained to one building.
The fire destroyed 12 units and displaced approximately 70 people, according to the Red Cross.
The Red Cross will provide emergency for essentials such as temporary lodging, clothing, food, personal care items and replacement prescriptions.
