DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. — All lanes of Interstate 20 were shut down Saturday night while DeKalb County SWAT officers were engaged in a standoff with an armed man.
Police say they responded to a three-car accident in the eastbound lanes of I-20 near Panola Road.
A man in one of the vehicles produced a gun and told officers he would not be taken alive, police say.

Officers cleared the area of civilians, and tried to speak with the man while SWAT responded.
All lanes of I-20 east were shut down while SWAT officers moved in and took the man into custody. Police say the man did not have a gun.
All lanes have been reopened since the incident.
