ATLANTA — Hall County officials tell Channel 2 Action News that a wireless message from several counties was sent out by mistake.
The message said a civil emergency message was in effect for several counties across north Georgia.
Hall County confirmed to Channel 2 Action News that they received word from GEMA and The Department of Homeland Security the message was supposed to go out to warn citizens about the winter storm warning that was issued for Friday.
They want to reiterate there is no emergency.
