COBB COUNTY, Ga. - UPDATE: Police tell Channel 2 Action News they have arrested 24-year-old Brian Marsh Semrinec.
Cobb County officials say Semrinec was taken into custody in Dallas, Texas.
ORIGINAL STORY: U.S. Marshals have joined police in the search for a man accused of killing a woman who was found dead inside a Smyrna home.
Officers found Shuyi Li, 28, dead Monday after she did not show up for work.
“I was so shocked. She was such a quiet, sweet young lady that I just couldn't imagine anything happening to her,” neighbor Emilie McLaughlin said.
A follow-up investigation led Cobb County authorities to charge 24-year-old Brian Marsh Semrinec with aggravated assault and felony murder.

“When I heard about it, you know, I wasn’t surprised a bit,” neighbor Rob Porter said.
Neighbors told Channel 2’s Justin Wilfon that they often saw Semrinec acting strangely.
“Everyone would kind of be in conversation and he would just stand there with a blank stare and just say nothing, like there was nothing there, man,” Porter said. “It always seemed like he was just a bit whacked out.”
Semrinec is believed to be driving Li’s white 2015 Honda CRV with Georgia tag CDD3152.
A reward of up to $2,000 is being offered in the case. If you have any information on the case, call Crime Stoppers at 404-577-8477.
