Good work! Marietta fire crews rescue dog trapped inside car engine

MARIETTA, Ga. — Crews saved a dog Thursday after officials say he climbed inside a car.

City of Marietta officials said fire crews responded to reports of a dog stuck in a vehicle’s engine compartment.

When crews arrived, the driver informed them that he had stopped for a dog in the middle of the road.

After the driver stopped, the dog ran under his car and climbed into the engine compartment, where he got stuck.

Firefighters located the dog between the engine air box and a firewall inside the car. Crews then removed the air box and duct work to pull the dog out of the engine.

Cobb County Animal Services confirmed that the dog was OK.
