This new hotel next to Mercedes-Benz Stadium is about to dominate the skyline of downtown Atlanta

ATLANTA — A new, 40-story hotel is set to open in downtown Atlanta right next to Mercedes-Benz Stadium.

NewsDrone 2 flew over the site of the new Signia by Hilton hotel off Northside Drive on the northwest campus of the Georgia World Congress Center.

The Signia will have 975 rooms, making it the sixth largest hotel in Atlanta by room occupancy, and will become the tallest hotel on Atlanta’s Westside.

“It will become a central connection point to the existing Georgia World Congress Center and will strengthen the city’s position as a national premier destination for sports, entertainment, and convention markets,” according to the hotel chain.

Amenities at the hotel will include meeting spaces, a state-of-the-art fitness center, a rooftop pool, multiple ballrooms and a spa.

Dining options are set to include a market café, a sports bar, and an Italian restaurant.

Atlanta is one of the country’s premiere convention capitols, and with that in mind, the hotel will have more than 100,000 total square feet of flexible meeting and event space.

The hotel is set to open up in January 2024, according to its website. Officials say they are not accepting reservations yet but are booking events.
