Human remains found behind busy Holly Springs shopping center

HOLLY SPRINGS, Ga. — Police are investigating after human remains were found behind a busy shopping center in Holly Springs.

The Holly Springs Police Department said officers were called out to the Toonigh Village Shopping Center around 3:45 p.m. Sunday after someone spotted the remains in a wooded area behind the Kroger in the shopping center.

The department said the Georgia Bureau of Investigation has been called in to assist with the investigation.
