ATLANTA — Channel 2 WSB-TV, in partnership with the PlayOn! Sports, announce live coverage of Georgia High School Football “Game of the Week” every Friday night on wsbtv.com. It will be a complete multiplatform experience on social media, on-line, on-site and on-air coverage.
"We are excited that West Forsyth and Gainesville kick off the season on wsbtv.com," said Zach Klein, Channel 2's sports director. "In fact, our schedule is full of huge rivalry games. This is just the first of 12 games that you'll be able to watch wsbtv.com and on mobile!"
One game will be featured each Friday during the 12-week regular season. The schedule features cross-town match-ups from 11 counties in the metro Atlanta region. Channel 2 will be on-site every Friday.
In addition, Channel 2 WSB-TV presents the #1 rated "Sports Zone Friday" every Friday night at 11:18 p.m. Fans will get an in-depth report and highlights from high school games all across the Atlanta area. Catch all the highlights, game night photo's, inside information on recruiting and scores. This is the 6th year for "Sports Zone Friday" on Channel 2 WSB-TV.

Former cable sportscaster Van Earl Wright delivers the play-by-play teams with Georgia Bulldog legend and Atlanta Falcons, DJ Shockley providing analysis for each game. Coverage will also include halftime coverage of each school’s marching band and interviews with school principals on other areas of excellence.
