• Body found in car in McDonough

MCDONOUGH, Ga. - It took nearly seven hours for McDonough police to get a search warrant to remove a car discovered Friday morning with a body inside.
Two people surveying the land made the discovery off of Bridges Road near McDonough Parkway.

A tow truck arrived at 3:30 p.m. at the scene and by 4 p.m. the scene was clear.
Investigators are working to determine what caused that person's death.
A silver Volvo sedan with a drive out license tag is what investigators are now going to process for answers as to the death of the person inside.
McDonough police waited for a search warrant to enter the private property where two people discovered the car.
"We've had several robberies but never nothing like this,” said resident Lisa Brydson.
Brydson lives in the Bridgewater Crossing subdivision across the street. She said all the police activity has neighbors nervous.
McDonough police Chief Preston Dorsey said investigators are determining what happened. The Georgia Bureau of Investigation will begin processing to determine if they're dealing with a homicide or suicide.

“We don’t know if it’s an adult or a child.  We just want to make sure that our families are alright and protected,” said Brydson.

Before leaving the scene, Dorsey said he hopes to have new information later Friday night.
