ATLANTA - Atlanta police are releasing new details of the last night Bridget Shiel was seen alive. Sheil's body was found in Oakland City Park in Atlanta the morning of May 31.

Police say Shiel's body was found riddled with bullets. A 911 call came in to the department around 1:06 a.m.

Shiel was shot at the park and wasn't dumped there, police revealed.

According to police, Shiel was last seen in a car with two black males at a Shell gas station on Rockbridge Road and Memorial Drive at 11:30 p.m. She appeared to be under duress.

"She was sitting in the passenger seat of her car so she's not in control of her vehicle. We don't know at that point if she truly was kidnapped or there willingly," APD Detective Vincent Velazquez said.

Police believe these two males may have been involved with Shiel's murder.

A witness who spotted Shiel says she recognized Shiel from reports on television. She says no one ever got out of the car.

Shiel's mother, Angela Shiel, says her daughter's friend said the two were together around 11:30 p.m., because the two were supposed to go to a party.

That friend said Bridget got into her car and said she'd be right back, but that never happened.

"Regardless of what Ms. Shiel was involved in, she was a young lady. It's like a person who had so much potential in front of her," Velazquez said.

Atlanta police are asking for anyone who may have seen Shiel shortly before her death to call them.
