ATLANTA — Police are investigating a shooting in southwest Atlanta that happened shortly before 10 p.m. Monday.
Atlanta police officers had Memorial Drive taped off Monday night near Pryor Street and a tow truck had arrived to remove a car that was in the middle of the road.
There were about a half dozen Atlanta police cars at the scene on Memorial Drive.

Channel 2′s Michael Doudna contacted Atlanta police who told him that the initial incident took place in East Point and then the victim wound up in Atlanta.
Police have not yet released the identity or current condition of the victim and no information about the shooter is available at this time.
