SOUTH FULTON COUNTY, Ga. — A man is under arrest after police said he caused a mess at his workplace and then led police on a chase.
Hapeville Police officers responded to Jimmy John's on 801 Virginia Ave. Tuesday afternoon where they learned an employee was threatening employees and causing a disturbance. He was even knocking the registers into the floor, police said.
When officers arrived, they found 26-year-old Andre Dion Thomas’ vehicle backed into the side of the building.
Thomas jumped into the vehicle and slammed into an officer’s vehicle several times, police said. A second officer fired his weapon, striking Thomas’ vehicle multiple times, but they said he drove away.
Thomas then led officers on a chase that ended with a PIT maneuver on Norman Berry Drive in East Point, police said.
Thomas then got out of his vehicle and jumped a barbed-wire fence, police said.
