ATLANTA — Police say a man's body was found decomposing in the back of an SUV in southwest Atlanta Wednesday night.
The body was found around 7:15 p.m at the QLS Gardens Apartments in the 1800 block of Campbellton Road, Atlanta police spokesman Officer Steve Avery told our partners at the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.
“On scene the officers found a blue Mitsubishi Eclipse with a decomposing body inside,” Avery said. “The cause of death is undetermined and the body has not yet been identified.”
Police said the man appeared to have been shot and he had likely been there for several days.
Atlanta Police homicide investigators are working to determine what happened.
