Channel 2 Presents: The Children's Christmas Parade

ATLANTA — The Children's Christmas Parade is a holiday treat the entire family can enjoy together. Channel 2's Fred Blankenship and Linda Stouffer, anchors for Channel 2 Action News This Morning, will anchor Channel 2's live coverage of the Atlanta tradition.

WSB-TV Channel 2 has been the exclusive parade television partner with Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, one of the nation’s top ranked pediatric hospitals, since 1992.

The Christmas parade is the longest-running fundraising event for the hospital.  All proceeds from this year’s event will benefit various summer camps offered free to patients of Children's Healthcare of Atlanta.

Here comes Santa Claus!

This year’s parade will feature award-winning marching bands, floats, exciting dance performances, giant helium and cold-air balloons, clowns and, of course, Santa Claus.

Marching bands participating in this year’s event include: Tri-Cities High School, North Paulding High School, Ringgold High School, Polk County High School, South Paulding High School and Woodland High School.

Now in its 36th year, the parade marches through Midtown Atlanta. The fun starts at Peachtree and 16th Street, continues for one mile, and ends at Peachtree and 5th Street.
