Nearly 24 hours after it was announced that Queen Elizabeth II had died, millions gathered around once again to hear from King Charles III.
“We knew it would happen one day, but also a very sad occasion,” said Paul Garneys.
Thursday’s news left many folks speechless, but there was a lot to be said about Friday’s speech.

“I’m glad to see him. I’m glad that he was inclusive in his speech,” said Donna Baker. “I’m kind of excited to see how he’s going to lead his country.”
“It’s a very shocking time to see all of this around us and to just think about how the world is going to change now,” said Liz Wilson.
British-owned stores in and around Metro Atlanta are seeing an increase in customers and supporters.
Many condolence books are being signed, including one at the British Consulate.
