Armed robbery suspect’s cologne tipped off Atlanta police to his hiding place

ATLANTA — Atlanta police arrested two men suspected of an armed robbery and one of the suspect’s cologne led to an officer discovering his hiding place.

On Dec. 7, officers were actively searching for two suspects believed to be a part of an armed robbery on Nov. 23.

Officers found one of the suspects walking down Joseph E. Lowery Blvd. SW and arrested him.

The second suspect was tracked to a crawl space on Euharlee St. SW.

In that crawl space, an officer could smell cologne in the air, which tipped off the officer about the suspect’s hiding place.

Both Kentraevious Hunter, 24, and Kortez Ragland, 18, were charged with aggravated assault, armed robbery, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, and obstruction.
