With thousands of fans in the city, security is a priority.
“It’s going to be crazy, but I’m excited,” Falcons fan Tanisha Smith said.
One million people are expected to visit NFL Live.

Houston’s police captain, Michael Skillern, said all 5,200 officers will be working through the weekend.
They have been preparing for the game for years.
“We have a great law enforcement and we prepare for over a year to have it down pat,” Smith said.
Skillern said there will be just as many uniformed officers as there will be officers out of uniform.
Channel 2’s Liz Artz rode along with the captain to take a look at the three main Super Bowl venues.
Skillern said the city has hosted major events before, but with the changing climate in the world, they have taken no chances.
“A terrorist event would be the worst case event, but I can tell you we have put in thousands and thousands of hours to make sure that doesn’t happen,” he said.

Skillern said the department’s intelligence system is robust and they have partnered with federal agencies to make sure.
“So every time there is an incident in the country or in the world, we are vulnerable and we want to mitigate that vulnerability,” he said.
Police said they will have officers out on horses for crowd control and they will have officers undercover at every Super Bowl venue.
