SAN FRANCISCO — Apple has unveiled a brand new iPhone, iPad -- and more surprises at its event in California.
Tim Cook introduced the iPad Pro: It’s a bigger screen, 12.9 inches on the diagonal. It also has a full-sized software keyboard, 4-speaker audio, Flash storage and 10 hours of battery life.
The iPad will come in three finishes: Silver, Gold and Space Gray.
The iPad is powered by a new A9x chip, which is up to 1.8 times faster than its predecessor. It will work with the new multitasking features in iOS 9.
Apple's upcoming iOS 9 will available for download on September 16.
Apple also unveiled their new iPhone 6s and 6s Plus.
The new iPhone 6s will be five times faster than the iPhone 6 and will include a new touch software called 3D Touch.
3D Touch allows users to pull up maps and a few other apps without actually opening the app.
The new phones also boast stronger cover glass, and a 12 MP iSight camera. The FaceTime/selfie camera will be 5 MP and include a flash.

Pre-orders for the new phones begins September 12. Phones will be shipped September 25.
Cook also debuted the Apple Pencil. He says it is meant to be used with iPad Pro. It captures more points in a single stroke. Great for artists and other professionals.
The iPad Pros prices begin at $799 for the 32GB version. The Pencil is $99.
A new Apple TV has been announced which has new hardware, a new user experience, developer tools and access to the app store. It also has a new, redesigned remote will have Siri capability and a touch surface.
The prices are: $149 for 32GB and $199 for 64GB. They will be available in the fall.
