9-year-old battling cancer gets 'pink paradise'

NORTH FULTON COUNTY, Ga. — Sunshine on a Ranney Day volunteers provided another life-changing room makeover reveal for a 9-year-old girl battling leukemia.

Volunteers from the nonprofit, who creates dream room and home makeovers for children with long-term illness, are gathering at the house on Ridgefield Drive in Roswell.

Rachel Buckner, a popular north Fulton girl, is undergoing chemotherapy.

The newly-renovated room includes several dolls and hats, some of the things she really likes.

Channel 2 Action News was there when Rachel arrived to her "pink paradise."

"It means a lot. Hopefully, it'll help me with my sleeping, because I've been waking up in the middle of the night," she said.
