COBB COUNTY, Ga. — A 1-year-old girl has died two days after she and her mother were hit by two cars crossing a Cobb County street.
Police confirmed the girl died Tuesday at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta.

Police said the mother, identified as Kayanne K.L. Dunn, 37, of Hiram, was driving on C.H. James Parkway west of Oglesby Road around 9:30 p.m. Sunday when her car hit the back of another car in the left lane.
Dunn got out of the car with her daughter and tried to cross the street.

Police said drivers of a Chevrolet Blazer and Ford Taurus hit them.
Dunn and her daughter were rushed to Cobb Hospital, where Dunn died.
Police said investigators do not expect to file charges.
