AUSTELL, Ga. — Imagine hanging upside down and completely still for a few seconds, seven stories from the ground.
Imagine no more. Six Flags Over Georgia unveiled its newest rides and one of them, The Joker Chaos Coaster, will have riders doing just that.
"It was scary, but it was fast and intense and I would do it again," Tara Holland told WSBTV.com's Nelson Hicks moments after she stepped off her first ride.
Twenty-four riders in sets of twos face one another in the new circular roller coaster. Once everyone is strapped in, the train swoops back and forth before rocketing 72 feet into the air. Once the train reaches the top of the circle, it pauses for a few seconds before making several flips. The train then repeats the process going the opposite way.
"That was the scariest part because you're dangling and you can see the ground and you're just hoping that this coaster is going to hold you in," Holland said. "Just those couple of seconds feel like a really long time."

The Joker Chaos Coaster is joined by Harley Quinn Spinsanity as new rides at the park this season. The latter features seven cars which twist and spin their way around the ride's track. Here's a tip: don't ride it just after lunch.
“These two new devious rides in one of the most popular sections of the park continue our commitment to providing thrills for the entire family,” said Six Flags park president Dale Kaetzel. “This expansion to the Gotham City area, combined with the second season of our world class Hurricane Harbor water park, sets the stage for a summer filled with exciting memories for guests of all ages.”
Six Flags Over Georgia is now open every day for the summer.
