Charles Robbie Giddeons Jr.

COBB COUNTY, Ga.,None — After nearly a day without an arrest, Cobb County police have arrested a handyman accused of killing two people found dead at an Austell home.

Police were called to the home on Clay Road just before 11 p.m. Tuesday, Cobb County police Officer Mike Bowman said. Police said the door was slightly open, and they found two dead men inside. The walls were scrawled with the suspect's name. The victims, who had no identification on them, were shot to death, Bowman said.

Channel 2 Action News reporter Darryn Moore was at the scene all night watching homicide detectives go in and out of the home. After hours of investigating, police identified 26-year-old Charles Robbie Giddeons Jr. as the shooting suspect.

Cobb County Police Department Charles Robbie Giddeons Jr. Charles Robbie Giddeons Jr. Giddeons, a handyman and married father of three, was renting the home where the bodies were found, police said. His parents said his family was on the run with him.

"Think about those three kids you got in that back seat of your car and your wife," Giddeons' sister said in a message to her brother.

She didn't show her face on camera, fearful of the people Giddeons associates with. His parents said he is involved with drugs and possibly mafia-like groups. His mother said Giddeons called her, saying a man named Tony may be after him. His phone was later turned off.

Police considered Giddeons armed and dangerous. Police initially said he might be driving a white 2000 Toyota Corolla, but that car was found near Augusta.

On Wednesday night, Cobb police said Giddeons was found in Columbia County with his wife and children. He is charged with two counts of felony murder and two counts of aggravated assault.
