Eagles Will Play Piedmont Park's Green Concert

ATLANTA — The Eagles will follow in the footsteps of the Dave Matthews Band, the Allman Brothers and Sir Paul McCartney and play the Green Concert at Piedmont Park.

Representatives from Live Nation and the Piedmont Park Conservancy announced the band Thursday morning. The environmentally themed concert raises money for Piedmont Park's 53-acre expansion and ongoing maintenance, while promoting environmental sustainability. Tickets will be $55 each with pre-sale starting July 31, and general sales starting August 7.

The Dave Matthews Band and the Allman Brothers performed in 2007. Sir Paul McCartney played the Green Concert in 2009. There wasn't a performance in 2008.
